What can we say about the town of Qualicum? CHARMING is the first word that comes to mind! This small-town community exudes charm, and is coupled with four kilometers of curving, postcard-perfect sand, which gives the town of Qualicum Beach its name.
Well known for its downtown village featuring a plethora of unique independent shops, there are also many places to grab a bite to eat or a beverage to enjoy. On Saturdays there is a Farmers Market that attracts a number artist and local producers of drinks, farm-fresh food, and local baking. This is a year-round market and must see!
Qualicum is situated in between the larger communities of Nanaimo and the Comox Valley. Qualicum Beach residents can easily access the beautiful and vibrant surrounding neighbourhoods & attractions, such as Mt Washington Ski Resort and Strathcona National Park, the Comox Valley with its world-renowned mountain bike trails & craft breweries, and Port Alberni – the gateway to the west coast and salmon fishing capital.
There is also a small Airport which provides regular flights to Vancouver, Abbotsford, Tofino, Victoria, and Nanaimo for easy travel or additional sightseeing in the area for further exploring.
We recommend the following of our favourite foodie spots:
We recommend the following activities:
Little Qualicum Cheese Works and Morningstar Farm
Qualicum Beach and Board Walk (great paddleboard rentals in the summer)
Qualicum Beach Farmers Market (year-round)
